A Special Day | Adelaide Fringe Festival

A Special Day | Adelaide Fringe Festival

This singular theatrical experience arrives in Adelainde after its New York's Off-Broadway sold out season and a celebrated Edinburgh's Fringe Premiere.

Aclaimed actors Ana Graham and Antonio Vega create their own theatrical adaptation of the classical Italian movie "Una Giornata Particolare" by Ettore Scola, Ruggero Maccari and Gigliola Fantoni.

A life-changing encounter between an overworked housewife and a her mysterious neighbor that addresses the prohibitions of totalitarian governments; old prohibitions that are an echo of today’s double standard and growing intolerance.

“Theatre is all about imagination. Let’s pretend we are Italians. Let’s pretend the stage is an apartment building in Rome. Let’s pretend it’s 1938, Mussolini is in power and Hitler is visiting today. Then, let us put some questions into your mind: Is Fascism over? Is it a political regime or a state of mind?”
