Sweet Nothings by David Harrower

Sweet Nothings by David Harrower

Sweet Nothings by David Harrower after Arthur Schnitzler makes its Australian premiere at ATYP’s 2013 Under the Wharf program (7-23 November, 2013).

A man is having an affair with a married woman, terrified of what her husband may do if they are discovered. At a party, he charms a young woman who believes she's falling in love. Life seems beautiful. The doorbell rings. A husband enter the room.

Four young people risk everything in a tragic game of love, lust and adultery, exposing the restlessness of youth and the haunting consequences of a seemingly careless dalliance.

In a sexy and daring adaptation of Leibelie by Schnitzler (the writer who inspired 'Eyes Wide Shut'), David Harrower explores the power of sexual longing, the cruelty of tradition and the vulnerability of those in love.

pantsguys return to Under The Wharf following their 2012 production of Punk Rock (Winner: Best Independent Production, Best Director and Best Supporting Actor 2012 Sydney Theatre Awards) with internationally acclaimed director, John Kachoyan (2012 Bell Shakespeare Director in Residence).
