The Scarlet Trace
‘The Scarlet Trace’ is lyrical dance piece, choreographed by Benjamin Curé, that follows the intertwined lives of six friends
and the very different love stories that develop between them.
Set in 3 homes, the show gives an inside look into the state of each of the characters’ relationships and what unfolds behind closed doors; the young-married couple, the ‘just moved in together’ boyfriend and girlfriend and the single guy who finds love. The dancers explore the joys and pains of love in an honest and open way, giving a look in to the hearts and minds of these characters.

What an inspiring and wonderful evening. The initimate setting and choreography was so heart-felt, made me want to get back in the studio after way too many years off, which I did indeed do the next week! Bravo!

Fantastic show - the dancing was great and I was very pleasantly surprised. Get there early for the best seats though - can be a difficult view with no (limited) tiered seating at the venue.
Beautiful choreography by Benjamin Cure. He did an amazing job. The dance was highlighted by the expert lighting and the exceptional musical score.

Raw emotional energy expressed through dance, this was a great start to our weekend, provoking much discussion about the nature of love and how it survives the everyday mundane realities. The dancers were a pleasure to watch as they pulled you into their experience of love. An uplifting experience!
A wonderful performance
Emotionally evocative performance, in an intimate setting. Choreography and music enchanting. Some brilliant performers in the making. Scolled program's & chocolates set romantic tone of the performance. Add glass of wine and emotional vulnerability, brilliant! Looking forward to future pieces.
I am so pleased I went to this. the story was easy to understand through the amazing dance and the choreography brilliant.I laughed and felt deep emotion when they "broke up" and totally enjoyed the incredible flexibility of movement. Go along. Oh and the music fitted in really well and you could hear the lyrics, which was part of the show as well.

It was a bit tricky to find the venue at first, as the number didnt match up with the location on Chapel St. Though once we got to the venue we were quickly welcomed. The choreography and music was absolutely brilliant, definetly promising young talent. My brother said it was like watching something from SBS. Would definetly go to this venue again.
My guest and I enjoyed this performance IMMENSELY!Was wonderfully choreographed and was performed with fantastic emotion and skill. The overall experience was wonderful - greeted by friendly ushers, quaint program scroll and chocolate hearts. Seating was close and intimmate, with traditional tiered chairs, and a scattering of cushions at the fonr of the stage. The set was well crafted, and provided a wonderful stage for the engaging storyline to unfold. The music selction, such a vital component, was executed faultlessly.
Engaging, emotional, sweet and funny, this brilliant show is definitely worth seeing!

Beautiful choreography, excellent storyline and haunting background scores. We loved every minute of it. Right from the moment we walked in, we were enthralled. We were greeted by smiling ushers, a cosy gallery style seating arrangement (with comfy cushions scattered in front), cute little program scrolls and the heart shaped chocolates were a nice added touch. The dancers did an amazing job! There were lifts and pirouettes , lovely extensions and all the makings of a beautiful dance piece !
Definitely worth a watch!
