Sydney Eisteddfod McDonald's Operatic Aria
Eight of Australia’s most outstanding young opera singers compete to the accompaniment of the North Sydney Symphony Orchestra for $57,000 in total prize money in the final round of the Sydney Eisteddfod McDonald’s Operatic Aria. Previously known as the Sun Aria, this event has been a highlight of the Sydney Eisteddfod program ever since it began in 1933 and to celebrate its 80th Anniversary, it takes pride in returning to its birthplace at Sydney Town Hall.

Fantastic evening. They all had amazing voices - I have no idea how the judges picked a winner. The North Sydney Symphony Orchestra (a community orchestra) were also fantastic!!
