JYM is delighted to present its 2013 season of The Producers.
The Producers is Mel Brooks at his genius best. Simultaneously a tribute to, and a send-up of, the Golden Years of Broadway shmultz, Brooks has mastered the art of offending everybody in order to offend no-one. Max Bialystock is a has-been musical producer until nerdy accountant Leo Bloom stumbles upon the perfect plan: if they produce a sure-fire flop, they can close on opening night and skedaddle with the backers’ money! All they need is the worst script, the worst director and the worst lead actor ever; it’s a great plan until it all goes horribly right!
Fantastic evenings entertainment! loved every minute, and JYM theatre co. has some outstanding voices. Excellent.
