Albare The Road Ahead

Albare The Road Ahead

After the recent announcement of Albare's signing to ABC Music in Australia and New Zealand, the jazz guitar virtuoso will perform one intimate show in Melbourne and Sydney to launch his latest album, "The Road Ahead" on Thursday, November 7 at Bennetts Lane Jazz Club, Melbourne and Thursday, November 14 at The Sound Lounge, Seymour Centre in Sydney.

This year, Albare has achieved success with his US tour and is currently on tour in Europe, where he is receiving critical praise for his live shows and latest album.

'The Road Ahead' was recorded in New York earlier this year, receiving glowing reviews and USA Jazz Chart success since its international release through ENJA Records, the famous legendary German label.

Recorded in Brooklyn, 'The Road Ahead' features a line-up of choice: Melbourne-based pianist Phil Turcio, Cuban bassist Yunior Terry and Venezuelan drummer Pablo Bencid.

Joining Albare on stage at Bennetts Lane and Seymour Centre will be Phil Turcio (Piano), Phil Rex (Bass) and Darryn Ferrugia (Drums), all musicians with whom Albare shares a music history.

" ... absolutely terrific guitar playing by Albare .... Exceptional." SYNTHESIS WEEKLY, September 2013

Great musicians !! The management needed to turn up air-con though as the musicians were suffering.

A nice evening out. Great venue. Relaxing, unchallenging mainstream jazz

It was my first time at Seymour Theatre and turned out to be a great up close and personal venue. Sound system was pretty clear. Albare is not simply a talented jazz musician but also a likable and charming man. I am impressed with the overall professional talents of the whole band!

A very enjoyable performance by Albare and his band. Loved the music. The more I listened the more I liked. Perfect for an evening at the end of the week to unwind and feel energised. If that makes any sense.

"The road ahead" will be smooth driving for Albare and the group.
We enjoyed being at Bennets lane and listening to the jazz, and we had a very pleasant time.

Wonderful performance. The first time I had been to the Salon room at the Recital Centre, loved the intimacy and will certainly look forward to other performances there. Thank you for such an enjoyable experience.

Excellent performance. Good venue too.

Seeing any gig at the Recital Centre's Salon room is always a close and personal encounter and this was no exception. It felt like they were playing in your lounge room. Very smooth sounds and massive rhythm section of 2 double bass players( from melbourne and cuba) and a Venezualan drummer with the delicate stylings of AlBare's guitar style.Such a pleasing gig .

thanks
