The Moulin Beige | Melbourne International Comedy Festival

The Moulin Beige | Melbourne International Comedy Festival

Paris is home to The Moulin Rouge but Melbourne prefers her cheeky little sister, The Moulin Beige. Blending burlesque, comedy and cabaret, this fast paced vaudeville night will leave you feeling delightfully debased.

Featuring different special guests each week, the Moulin Beige plays host to both world -class variety acts and Melbourne’s most quirky and original local comic performers delivering their favorite routines for your viewing pleasure.

Extra late and loud shows on Friday nights have been programmed for the Comedy Festival to accommodate for special guest stand ups who will be popping in. The word on the street is that some BIG names and some of Melbourne’s favourite stand up comedians will be making guest appearances.

Special guests comedians during the Comedy Festival include: Fiona McGary (QLD), Matt Okine, (NSW) Daniel Connell, Luke McGregor, Matt Burton, Xavier Micheledies, Gordon Southern (UK), Fiona Scott Norman and more!

Add this all up, squeeze it into the best little bar in Fitzroy and you have yourself an unforgettable comedy cocktail.

Really fun night! I got exposed to a couple of comedians I'll definitely see again, and the burlesque was awesome! Highly recommended :)

Loved it, wacky, quirky, fun, lighthearted. Small little area and stage where the audience was almost sitting on the stage

Really great venue. Fun and funny entertainers. Need to get to the venue early to get a good seat.

Very cosy venue. The MC was very good, and Miss CupCake was very skilled with her hula hoops! The other acts were ok.

Talented and entertaining MC and guest artists were good fun. However, the stand out number was Rachel Dunham as Oprah. She was intelligent, funny and had a sensational voice. And what stage presence! She just inhabited the character of Oprah. I'd love to see her when she performs at the Mebourne Cabaret Festival later in the year. All in all a wonderful evening at the intimate Burlesque Bar.

Very talented MC who worked the audience well. Her Inspector song was a hit! Burlesque was a bit of naughty fun, especially the lion act! Comedians were very good. Very entertaining variety show with audience participation.
