In the world of the rich and famous, no man’s name is more sacred than pop icon and artist, Andy Warhol. Born of humble beginnings in the poorest area of Pittsburgh, he would eventually rule the world of the 60’s with his particular brand of humour, style, sex and art.
For this production, Noel has assembled a strong cast lead by Josh Futcher as Andy Warhol and Kate Mulqueen as Valerie Solanas. Other cast members include Fabiana Estelle as Warhol’s suicide blonde Edie Sedgwick and Jacob Antolini as Warhol’s sexy muse, a role based on Warhol’s superstar, Little Joe Dallessandro. Great show, well worth seeing, an interesting story that is dramatic, confronting and always entertaining.An insight into a microcosm of the New York Art world that was fascinating and bizarre, I would highly recommend it all.
I thought it was really good. A little bit let down by the ending, but it was the first night of a new play and hopefully they'll tighten up the ending a bit.
