The Tony Gould Trio
The City of Boroondara presents an afternoon of jazz that celebrates the classics with The Tony Gould Trio, performing at the Kew Court House, Sunday 18 November, 2pm, as part of the monthly Music at the Court House series.
Melbourne born Tony Gould is an Australian musical legend, admired in both the classical music and jazz circles.
Joining him in this concert will be cellist, Imogen Manins and master drummer David Jones, for a concert dripping with the true spirit of improvisation.
In a program inspired by Elmer Bernstein’s score for the film version of To Kill a Mockingbird, the trio will perform music by George Gershwin and Fredrick Loewe as well as compositions by the trio themselves.
The Tony Gould Trio is the last concert in this series until Music in the Court House comes back for 2013.
Music at the Court House is a series which runs on the third Sunday of every month until November.

What a wonderful day of music! Must go and see them again at the Recital Centre next year. Their CD's are very good.
This concert at the court house was superb. It was a beautiful venue with intimate surrounds and great sound. The band was great. Tony Gould is a truly melodic jazz pianist and he took you on a journey with his immaculate piano playing. David Jones is probably one of Australia's best drummers. He is also tasteful and plays many percussion instruments in amazing ways. Who knew that you could use dish cloth sticks with such beauty? The cellist Imogen Manin played with poise and elegance and the whole trio played as one effortlessly. I would definitly recommend this concert and I will look out for their next concert. You should not miss it! 5 stars .
