A never-before-seen event for Melbourne audiences, Impro Melbourne Theatre presents two unique theatrical shows for the price of one: La Muse and If These Walls Could Talk. A ‘double-header’ performance, each night is an examination of human existence, of relationships and the human soul.
La Muse takes you on a rich and captivating musical journey, where characters and stories are inspired by the sounds and music of four live musicians. The live band weave an acoustic tapestry for players to explore and create atmosphere upon, taking the audience into the realms of theatrical improvisation like never before.
If These Walls Could Talk explores the lives of those who dwell in a family home, told from the crucible of a single room in the house. Played ‘in the round’, this performance is a fly-on-the-wall look at the generations of one family, from the first inhabitants of the house, to their children and grandchildren. It’s an intimate examination of the dynamics at play in the relationship between families, friends and more.
