A Drug Called Fame

A Drug Called Fame

Powerhouse singer and comedian Clare Elizabeth Dea stars in this addictive cabaret that delves deep into the intoxicating allure of recognition.

Grappling with post-wedding blues and the pressures of impending motherhood, 'wanna be' diva Ruby Red seeks solace in chocolate, Netflix & social media.

But her true escape? This comedy show!

Let’s put all of us in the spotlight and jazz hands our way through rehab with some Liza Minelli meets Brene Brown.

A Drug Called Fame is a blend of Broadway hits, self help parodies and captivating storytelling. Inspired by Clare's personal journey with her performing career, body shame and addiction.

Featured on Studio 10, The Guardian and a range of media, Clare's comedy shows promise a rollercoaster of emotions, from laughter to tears, and moments that'll make you exclaim, "Did she really just say that!"

Touring Australia for the last 3 years with her transformational theatrical experiences, this is Clare Elizabeth Dea as you’ve never seen her before.

Directed by multi-award winning artist Andi Snelling.

What is Ruby doing in Adelaide?
She SHOULD be on Broadway!
'A Drug Called Fame' was energetic, engaging & educational (about Polan's Syndrome

This act deserved to fill the venue, and I believe it did. It was a terrific result considering that so many people attended in the middle of a heatwave: Polski Dom is a pleasant venue, and the theatre the act was in had good comfort & fair acoustics so an appetising alternative to the usual tent shows. Clare really puts her heart & soul into her act, and it really shows.
