FOE

FOE

In cinemas from November 2

Academy Award® nominees Saoirse Ronan and Paul Mescal star in Foe, a haunting exploration of marriage and identity set in an uncertain world. Hen and Junior farm a secluded piece of land that has been in Junior’s family for generations, but their quiet life is thrown into turmoil when an uninvited stranger (Aaron Pierre) shows up at their door with a startling proposal. Based on best-selling author Iain Reid’s novel, directed by Garth Davis (Lion) and co-written by Davis and Reid, Foe’s mesmerising imagery and persistent questions about the nature of humanity (and artificial humanity) bring the not-too-distant future to luminous life.

Great film and different. A must see

Jess

Terribly slow. The actors were great but the film was very dry.

Despite a great cast, it was quite clumsily written and directed (and sadly panned by most reviewers). It held a lot of promise though.

The storyline promised so much, but the strange dialogue and overly dramatic scenes were drawn out and just weird. The number of scenes in which the actors appeared nude was a little bizarre and unnecessary, but at least there was some humour in it
