Madeleine Clare is a Melbourne-born singer songwriter with a point to prove: that she can still make great music and love performing even after quitting the muso life more than a decade ago. And prove it she did, with her debut solo album The Eleventh Hour out 5 May on all platforms and launching officially at the Ballroom. Madeleine co-produced the album with Australian Music Prize nominee and multi-instrumentalist Jethro Pickett, a labour love distracting her during lockdowns. The voice of an angel but with plenty of the devil in her, The Eleventh Hour is made for late night introspection, drawing from a wide range of influences including alt country, folk, indie noir, psychedelia, and cabaret to create rich, evocative and intimate music. Madeleine will be joined by a killer band including Ben Wiesner (drums) Rick Plant (bass), Matt Dixon (guitar) and special guest Dan Brodie (keys/guitar). Already gearing up for album number 2, the joy and passion Madeleine brings to her performances is one emanating from a woman finally ready to share her voice with the world.
