Seann Walsh Back From The Bed (UK)

Seann Walsh Back From The Bed (UK)

Hello, Seann here. Did you know that comedians have to write their own blurb? I find that absolutely insane. What am I meant to say? “I’m fantastic, come and look at me talk?" I don’t know. It’s me. I do stand-up.

I guess I can start with the fact I renamed the tour. Sticking with Same Again? felt a bit triggering after the recent years we’ve had. So it is now called Back from the Bed. Some of the material will be the same as I had always planned and some of it will be new because it will be difficult to avoid mentioning the last couple of years in which millions of decent people tragically lost their lives to TikTok.

The previous leg of this tour got a lot of standing ovations, which was pleasing. Either that or they were leaving early. Come along if you like me. I’d be confident enough to say come along if you’re on the fence. Cheers.

Here are some things I’ve been on...

Seann has starred in series 1-3 of The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2), Netflix’s Flinch, Live At The Apollo (BBC2), Tonight at The London Palladium (ITV), Celebrity Juice (ITV2), Play To The Whistle (ITV), a team captain for Virtually Famous (C4), 8 Out of 10 Cats (C4), Alan Carr’s Chatty Man (C4), Hey Tracey! (ITV2), Comedians Solve World Problems (Comedy Central) and has made regular appearances on The Jonathan Ross Show. He appeared in Dave Channel’s Campaign Against Living Miserably and is an ambassador for the CALM charity. He also hosts podcast 'What’s Upset You Now?' alongside Paul McAffrey.

This show was nominated for Best Show of the Fringe, Edinburgh 2022. Hurry, this will sell out!

'Unquestionably the best observational comic of his generation.' The Guardian (UK)

'His standup is richer than ever. ★★★★’ The Guardian (UK)

Sean is great, though he took about 15mins and he got into a groove. Thanks OTH, another great event during the Melb comedy festival.

joybarrett

Ok but not so funny

Bryan

Sean’s performance was solid. I wouldn’t say it was laugh out loud, but good observational humour.

So so funny

Unfortunately it felt a little disorganised and slow at the start. Fortunately some members of the audience provided some good material for him to work with, so it saved him.

Loved the show! Seann was really funny, the hour flew by! The venue choice was awesome too!

Sean was quite funny and his show rolled along at a nice pace. He interacted well with his audience, not ridiculing them but including them. The ending could be improved but otherwise a great night out.

Humour was right up my alley, his joke about the Hoover sent me. Great venue and the comedy festival just emailed me the tickets so it was a super smooth experience

Wooly

Took 5-10 minutes to get going but once he did, I found myself laughing out loud regularly. I recommend seeing Seann.

Trav73

Great comedy show. Sean is very self aware and loves to take on any critics who don't understand his humour. Smart, funny and a great guy. Thanks!!

Loved it from the very start . Despite his regular use of the f bomb, Sean often self deprecating humour was a refreshing feature of his performance. Instead of abusing audience members he often lauded them or at the least worked with them. He wisely chose universal topics like sleep and complaining to base his comedy routine on. I would highly recommend him.

I felt like the entire show was a bit of a piss take, got the feeling he really really didn't want to be there and the whole show was based on that.

Debbie

It was a great evening and Sean was really funny enjoyed the show immensely

KKat

Enjoyed the show. Laid back somewhat shambolic delivery. Lots of chuckles, quite a few laughs out loud, and he gave us a new "excuse" to give people who question why you've stopped drinking alcohol and gone sober (which isn'trepeatable but will always be used from now on!)

MishC

Enjoyed the night. Some funny observations

penelope_jade

Good night out my partners sense of humour bit slow in parts for me but still a great night

carlodangelo

A very funny and entertaining evening. Go see him and laugh.

Cole

Great Seats!
Terrific evening at the comedy festival

Lanaszone

A bit slow at times, still had lots of laughs, good night out

Sam

A lot of laugh out loud moments, even if a little predictable. Sean got constantly distracted, which we thought was genuinely funny, even though he was a bit dramatic about it at times. Worth watching for the laughs, but overall it didn't feel that clever or original.

Dutchy

Sean had many good moments yet also seemed a little distracted in his delivery. He kept referring to the time and how slow it was going and how he just wanted the show to end quicker. This is not what the audience wants to here.

Colin

Very relatable & funny stories with quirky delivery.

CliffyC

Laughed the whole show

Mike

Seann Walsh is a very funny comedian with an intelligent sense of humour. Great show and worth watching!

Donnie

Very funny man. Haven’t laughed so hard for a long time!

Goobs

Absolutely hilarious
We had soo much fun

Catherine

Enjoyed the show and his observational style of comedy. The tickets were e:mailed to us before the show so it made it so easy to get into the show instead of having to go to the box office.

ATeam

After a bit of a slow start Seann won over the audience with his sardonic observational humour and irreverent quips.
