THE POPE’S EXORCIST

Enjoyed the event, being a preview night. Even tho the movie was a bit gruesome, it was very compelling and enlightening. Free drinks and popcorn were a pleasing addition.

Based on the trailer I was terrified to go but found a friend to brave the film with me but we really enjoyed it. The trailer definitely showed the creepiest parts. Russell Crow as an old Italian priest seemed like a strange fit but it was okay

Great movie - was quite surprised at how much I enjoyed it... Russell Crowe as usual was brilliant! Not as all preachy or religion-themed other than the basic storyline.

It was a great experience all round, treated with red carpet experience.

I mean, technically they flat out say the Spanish inquisition was because the Spanish were possessed by the devil, so points off for that I guess

Surprised how much I actually enjoyed this movie given it's based upon something religion-related. Russell Crowe is brilliant in this. Free popcorn and Coke was a nice touch too! :)

Fantastic movie, a classic horror and comedy mix! Marvellous scenery of the spanish country side and stand out performance from Crowe!

If you don't take this too seriously it can be a bit of (sometimes spooky) fun. And if you've ever wanted to watch a movie where Russell Crowe speaks either in Italian or with an Italian accent, by all means this is the movie for you.

Good movie with a lot of great visual effects which probably detract from the young boy's acting. Russell Crowe is his usual self with a story that is so far fetched it's not really that scary. I am wondering what part of it is based on a true story. Thank you for the opportunity to see it.

Loved the original Exorcist with Linda Blair, so was very keen to see this version, based on a true story, which makes it all the more fascinating. And great to see Russell Crowe in his first horror movie . Great movie. Spectacular special effects

Based on a true story? Russell Crowe is very convincing as Gabriele Amorth and with slapstick humour put in it was an entertaining movie. Very curious to know more about the Spanish Inquisition now.

Excellent film to keep you on your toes, with a few giggles in between. Russell is very believable!

An entertaining film that sat somewhere between a light drama and horror - overall an enjoyable night out, and left me wanting to learn more about Gabriele Amorth, who was charmingly portrayed by Russell Crowe.

Cinema had technical problems and screening started 30 minutes late. The movie was clichéd and predictable. Best seen on big screen.

It's... interesting. I expected something else.

If you're into stories of ghosts and religion, then this might be a film for you. It wasn't for me.

The film has a good audio, interesting props, and a crazy and incredibly naive story. Perhaps it's how Vatican works, I don't know...

I feel it's unfair to give it a bad review, as there might be people who like this type of art. I wouldn't watch it again, if that counts, and wouldn't recommend it to my friends. But then again, there are people out there who may like this type of ... horror ghost religion naive drama sort of thing.

If you decide to go and watch it, have no expectations and enjoy it's humour if not horror.

Sorry I couldn't be more sympathetic or supportive of this particular film. :(
