I know this may sound harsh, but I thought it was second rate. I've seen school musicals better than this. It didn't do anything for me.

Joseph and his dreamcoat was fantastic entertainment especially the second half. Wow what great sets costumes and energy. The meaning of it all escaped me and there is some trivialising darkness there which I was warned about but i was oblivious to it. The audience enjoyed it and yelled more more more after the fun filled danceathon finale but the cast had given enough. Go see it if you can it is colourful enjoyable and for the whole family. There are kids in the cast doing their thing .. stars of the future.

Reminded me of a pantomime. Singing the story. If you like pantomimes this is a show for you.

It's such a strange story but a great performance. Shane Crawford was a bit out of place

So much colour, so much talent. Paulini as the narrator had an angelic voice, Euan as Joseph was amazing and who doesn’t love Shane Crawford. The beautiful sets of the Egyptian scenes plus the beautiful dancers made this a joy to watch and I went in with no explanation. Such talent from the young kids on stage too. Definitely go if you have a chance. My 3 year old enjoyed it, 14 year old liked most of it, myself (42) & husband (56) loved it as did my parents in their 60’s so it’s a show for all ages!

Had such a fabulous time last night at The Regent Theatre for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. So much energy and fun from the whole cast, Do yourself a favour and check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Saw Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at The Regent Theatre tonight.
A very enjoyable night at the theatre that encouraged audience participation. Truly amazing. Don’t miss it!

Mary

A high energy show with lots of different styles of music. Joseph was more than adequate and Paulini as the all singing all dancing narrator was outstanding. Shane Crawford tried his best as Pharaoh while the young kids in the show showed obvious talent. Not once did I find myself looking at my watch.

jonno

Really good fun. Didn't expect much but surprised me pleasantly.

Not a huge fan of musical theatre but this was very entertaining! A melange of music genres with lots of silly, camp humour. The costumes, sets and props were remarkable - be sure to keep an eye out for the lovable camels and the Crawf-Pharaoh.

The musical was energetic, modern, amazing production with lots of songs, dances, music and colours! Fantastic!!! Highly recommended for all ages.

A wonderful energetic and colourful show full of fantastic songs and great choreography. Cast were excellent, in particular Stephanie Wall as the narrator, Joseph, Simeon and Reuben. Shane Crawford as Pharoah was I’m afraid a little bit wooden and kareoke, and some of the children’s roles were rather strange and awkward

The show was a revelation to us. We enjoyed it a lot. Uplifting and upbeat music had everybody up and enjoying the show. Witty lines and all in all a great production!

jenn_15

What an amazing production!! Both me and my partner loved each moment. The story was sung very well and it was easy to follow along with. Great singing, amazing choreography and fantastic acting from both the adult and children cast!

This show was so warm and uplifting, we came home high and happy :)

Susan

I was lucky enough to see this for a second time and enjoyed the show way more last night. Maybe as we had closer seats this time, the kids sang heaps better, could have been different kids as there's 32 of them to choose from, Euan was brilliant and Stephanie Wall the narrator was very, very good too. Shane was still a bit awkward. A very energetic and colourful production, found myself dancing in my seat.

ianventor
