Richard Hannay, a man with a boring life meets a woman with a thick accent who says she's a spy. When he takes her home, she is murdered. He soon becomes the prime suspect. A mysterious organisation called “The 39 Steps” is hot on the man's trail in a nationwide manhunt as Hannay desperately tries to prove his innocence and uncover the dangerous truth behind what "The 39 Steps" really means.

Four cast portray multiple characters in this parody of Hitchcock's 1935 film of the same name.

A riotous blend of virtuoso performances and wildly inventive stagecraft, The 39 Steps amounts to an unforgettable evening of pure pleasure!

Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have The 39 Steps, a fast-paced whodunnit for anyone who loves the magic of theatre!

4 cast members, playing the characters makes for an interesting night of parody at the little theatre. Plenty of old school laughs and clever use of props / sets should see this on your theatre calender.

The first show I’ve seen at the Eltham Little Theatre but I will definitely be going back. The cast was great and the energy was fantastic. I would definitely recommend it!

We loved the performance and there were plenty of laughs and clever prop wizardry. Unfortunately due to both of us being tired we misread the intermission for the end and left. I did have a problem shaking off the abrupt ending and the lack of prolonged applauding...we were really tired. Brilliant and witty for the first half.

This play was brilliant, good old fashioned humour, makeshift props and really good actors . A great night out
