Australia's Jazz Diva has put together a special cabaret style program which will include smooth swing, Brazilian jazz, and mellow soul music. This will be a classy, playful night!
Johannson performs only once a year at The Czech House and we are absolutely thrilled to have her back. Steve Sedegreen, joining her on piano, is one of Melbourne's jazz identities, known as a leading pianist, arranger of jazz projects and as an educator. Steve has been a well-established figure in the Melbourne jazz scene through a variety of activities including director and curator of Dizzy's Jazz Club (1999 - 2006); 20 years of teaching jazz (including mentoring members of "The Cat Empire") and of course as a constantly in-demand musician. Frank Disario, playing the double bass, often performs in cabaret, rock and free jazz bands. Frank is a highly sought out musician and has had the good fortune to perform with some legendary international stars throughout the years such as Mark Murphy, Barbara Morrson, Rolf Harris and Dee Daniels.
