The Jake Mason Trio will perform tracks from their ARIA Jazz Album of the Year nominated record “Stranger in the Mirror” and premiere new compositions from the forthcoming album “The Modern Ark” with Special Guest Neda Rahmani.
Taking cue from the golden era of Hammond organ artists such as Jimmy Smith, Brother Jack McDuff and Dr. Lonnie Smith as well as music from today’s melting pot, the trio weave their way through familiar sounds with a modern twist. Bluesy soul-jazz, blazing vigour and soundtrack-esque territory.
The Jake Mason Trio features multiple ARIA award winner Danny Fischer on drums, James Sherlock (Katie Noonan, Megan Washington, MSO) on guitar and Jake Mason on Hammond Organ.
