Very short and not worth the travel.
This was certainly an experience... the venue was indeed hard to locate, and when we arrived they didn't really check us off any list. Jojos act wasn't bad... certainly there were some funny one liners... but it went for way under an hour and there wasn't really a cohesive storyline.
Enjoyed the night...great to see comic artists getting back into it again...especially after COVID..
it was impossible to find as the venue was NOT on Holmes road, however it was in a lane way behind. It was an indoor event and many people were smoking including part of the crew. the first act was NOT funny and was offensive.
Great to see Jojo tackling issues of mental health in a real and poignant way with a comical twist. There is pain and laughter combined to make you reflect on what it is like to live with a mental illness and the insight to be able to laugh at oneself. Loved the English accent. If you are going to this event please rug up as the roller door to the venue is kept open during the performance and so warm clothes are required. A big thank you to the owner of the venue who was a very helpful as i enquired about disability access. With a broken foot it meant a great deal to me for him to thank me for making the effort to attend the show.
Quirky, clever and quick one liners. Delves into mental health & sexuality with pace, perhaps a little to fast at times, but if you can deliver the lines so quickly i say good on you Jojo.
