Get ready to enter the Kit Kat Klub and delve into the seedy world of 1930s Berlin with JYM theatre co. in its upcoming production of Cabaret 14-23 May.

Staying true to the original show and the period, JYM theatre co.’s production takes the audience on a journey with Sally (Courtney Krulis) as she finds herself caught between American would-be writer Clifford Bradshaw (Steven Walker) and a mysterious young German, Ernst Ludwig (Ronnie Feldman).

A sub plot involves the doomed romance between German boarding-house owner Fraulein Schneider (Ruth Yaffe), and her Jewish greengrocer beau, Herr Schultz (John Lawrence). Overseeing the action is the Emcee (Nathan Reynolds), who presides as master of ceremonies at the Kit Kat Klub and serves as a constant metaphor for pre-war Germany with all its contradictions.
