Thanks to an enthusiastic, supportive audience that was willing to engage and was determined to have fun, we found the performance fairly enjoyable. While the performer's skills were not anything like a professional level, he did manage to draw us in to his madness, at least until he started going on about how hard it is to do what he does. Then he lost us and we wondered if it was all meant to be some kind of uncomfortable parody. The show ended about 20 minutes before it was due to end, which we didn't really mind. Because there was no warning from On the House that the show was meant to be M rated (why M ??) we had two young children with us, and both said they really enjoyed it. The performer engaged with the kids a few times, for which we were grateful.

My friend and I didn't enjoy the show at all. The show was full of the perfomer doing things that were pretty average! He did some very average juggling and balancing, ran around with a stinky chainsaw, spat ping pong balls at the audience and threw wet plastic crabs at us. The performance started with him being a character who didn't talk simply making noises instead and then completely changed, turning into him telling us how hard it was to do what he does!. The main part of the show was meant to be his aerial feats (he kept describing himself as an aerialist), however they weren't that impressive. The following night I went to an aerial show at the Fringe called 'By a Thread' that was extremely professional and absolutely amazing. I would recommend 'By a Thread' to everyone including the artist performing Fisticuffs so that he could see what a professional show was. Fisticuffs was a complete waste of time to go see, at least my friend and I had a nice dinner before hand so the night wasn't completely ruined!
