Fifty Words

Fifty Words

by Michael Weller
While their nine-year-old son is away for the night on his first sleepover, Adam and Jan have an evening alone together, their first in years. Adam's attempt to seduce his wife before he leaves on business the next day begins a suspenseful nightlong roller-coaster ride of revelation, rancor, passion and humour that explores a modern-day marriage on the verge of either a breakup or deepening love and understanding.

Very well acted. Two very believable characters.

Jan's performance was gut wrenching- a powerful story of love, loss and how one has to try and pick up the pieces after they have been betrayed and to let go.

We liked the play. The idea is not new, but thought provoking. Loved the actors!

Rug up well as the venue is cold even though what’s happening on stage remains “heated” for the majority of the performance whilst issues of infidelity, child upbringing, intimacy etc are battled out before us. Suggest you move up close to the stage as it was very difficult to hear what the actors were saying to one another. Good night out.
