Art Versus Entertainment is the latest sensational spectacle by Varietyville Productions, a stupendous showcase of their unique brand of physical comedy in an hour of outright stupidity. Starring two of Australia’s finest and funniest idiots — Daniel Oldaker “Dandyman” and Rani Huszar “Foxy Moron” — these two have toured the globe for over two decades in theatres, opera houses, festivals, on the street and now they come to a theatre near you.
Two worlds collide in an irreverent spectacle of ridiculous proportions. A farcical foray of circus, comedy, dance and magic.

They've still got a lot to do to make their performance better
Probably a solid 3.5 stars but I've rounded up for the novelty factor and the care in the production - you won't see better costumes at a comedy/circus production. Certainly this was very different to what you typically get in a comedy festival. Acts you won't see anywhere else from these kooky performers, and yes it was entertainment trying hard to be "Art".
This performance in Melba Spiegaltent was a little patchy. It was a mixture of standup, slapstick and some marvellously skilful gymnastic and aerial skills...I feel there is lots of unfulfilled potential with this artists but overall we did enjoy the show.

I really didn’t connect with this piece. It sounded good on the speil but left me confused. There were more lowlights than highlights for me. Sorry guys.
