The Sacred Ground Tour revives the music of Murray’s original Black Saint Quartet, a legendary musical collaboration going back some twenty years with an innovative new approach that visits some of the classic numbers as well as featuring many new compositions. This is jazz built upon its traditional roots, but also music that is challenging, politically charged, remarkably open and breathtakingly polyrhythmic.
