After kicking off with a capacity crowd for July's big re-opening show, The Lair returns the first Wednesday in August with another big show ...so lots of funny ha ha for you to enjoy.
Having exploded onto Melbourne comedy's live scene only a few short years ago, Claire Hooper has rocketed up the ranks and is now team captain on Network Ten's Good News Week (she's the pretty-lady one, in case there's any confusion there). She's also been on a bunch of other TV shows, won comedy contests, been nominated for awards, performed in Edinburgh to great reviews, and even directed Hamlet.. so on Wed 6 August she'll be headlining The Lair.
Joining her as MC will be Adam Rozenbachs. Described by one critic as "think Jerry Seinfeld with a black heart", he's a regular on shows such as ABC TV Spicks 'n Specks and Triple J's breakfast program. Of course when he's not on TV, his jokes still are as Adam is one of the most in-demand writers working in Australian TV comedy; however in the past few year's he moved out of the dark corners of the writers room into the full glare of the spotlight with his own live solo shows, after honing his skills for years on the live circuit. Also performing are stand ups Fox Klein, Adam McKenzie and Michael Connell.
