The Sound of Falling Stars

The Sound of Falling Stars

Following a sold-out season at Arts Centre Melbourne, Robyn Archer’s 'The Sound of Falling Stars' is coming to the Alexander Theatre on Thursday 20 September to Saturday 22 September.

Performed by actor and singer Cameron Goodall (ex-The Audreys, 'The Lion King') and accompanied on stage by George Butrumlis (accordion) and Enio Pozzebon (keyboard), 'The Sound of Falling Stars' is a roll call of some of the world’s most influential male singers and songwriters who lived fast and died young.

With a set list to die for, including songs by John Lennon, Michael Hutchence, Kurt Cobain, Jeff Buckley and more, this moving and celebratory performance highlights our fascination with the artists responsible for the songs that have served as soundtracks for the lives of so many.

NOTE: The system defaults to a single ticket. You may take up double passes. Full Price listed is for a double pass.

Cameron Goodall is a great singer and actor. I really enjoyed watching him perform, someone to look out for in future.
To be honest, I would have preferred songs to be sang in full (even if there were less of them), but it was a complete act as it was and it covered a long era.
I can definitely imagine this show being sold out in Arts Centre, that's why it was pity to see half empty venue yesterday. The performers deserved more than that. I hope that with more ads and reviews people will know in time to attend this show.

Cameron Goodall gave a viruoso performance taking the audience on a sometimes wild, often poinent ride through the lives and times of many of the greats of music past. Fabulously accompanied by George Butrumlis (accordion and voice) and Enio Pozzebon (keyboard and voice) in a really well directed piece that was as thoroughly enjoyed by the audience as it was so obviously by the performers. Go see it!

Thoroughly enjoyed the performance - very versatile performer. Great seats. Thank you so much

Pross

Excellent show. Cameron Goodall was terrific, moving between various artists effortlessly. A performance full of energy and emotion at the same time. Being accompanied by keyboard and accordian seemed a strange choice, however it worked extremely well and was excellent support to Cameron. Would definitely recommend this show.

NannaB

This was a fabulous show. Congratulations to the writer/director Robyn Archer for a well written and researched script. It was an excellent and entertaining performance by Cameron Goodall. Well done also to the two back up musicians who both added to the enjoyment of the evening.

Cameron Goodall accompanied by George Butrumlis (accordion and voice) and Enio Pozzebon (keyboard and voice) put together an engaging and polished performance on a rather morbid theme of performers who died young.

Mimigotty

Fantastic performance! Goodall was brilliant, so very multi talented as were Pozzebon and Butrumlis.

Ca1andra

Fantastic! Thoroughly enjoyed the amazing vocals, the story telling and music.
