Moll (Jessie Buckley) feels suffocated by her oppressive family and the small island community in which she lives. When she meets mysterious outsider Pascal (Johnny Flynn), she finally experiences a taste of freedom and adventure. Their passionate affair is threatened when Pascal becomes a suspect in a string of brutal murders. Having risked all to stand by her lover, Moll begins to question his integrity and discovers what she is really capable of.
