At Least I Have A Cat

At Least I Have A Cat

Nadine Sparks is in her late 30s. Late, late 30s. OK, she had a 40th birthday party... a few years ago. She can't hold down a relationship, is hanging on to her job by a thread and still renting. Miles from where she thought she would be. But at least she has a cat!

Nadine Sparks has created a host of successful shows for festivals within Australia, such as: Teacher, Feast, Bridesmaid to Be and Rehab. She brings her new show At Least I Have A Cat! to this year's Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Nadine Sparks is a gifted comedian, a regular in the Melbourne scene and she's delighted audiences across the country with her quick-wit and physical comedy. She is a stand-up comedian, improviser and character queen. She is an alumnus of the famous IO and Annoyance Theatre in Chicago.

some funny bits, but it was hard work.

Cons

Great show, really entertaining

zigzac

It was a funny and enjoyable show. The performance was authentic, I am looking forward to see her new materials in the future.

Santina

Very entertaining with some very funny physical humour incorporated into the show. However at times a bit disjointed.

vonski

Material was of bad taste. Dance moves were funny . Venue was good and very comfy seating if early.

timetoenjoy

started off well, and have seen Nadine in other performances. However halfway through the show the tone changed and it became sexualised which really flatten the show. More of the first half would have made the night all the more funny.

peeweekathi

Started off well and was quite funny, but, flagged towards the last half. Just needs to polish her material a bit more. Great venue!

Ida

It was fun and Nadine has a lot of energy

janebrownrigg

Loved the dance moves.Very relatable.

Nadine is loving but her act needs tightening. It was funny but not flowingly funny. Probably only enough funny material for 1/2 hr as towards the end it was obvious she was just trying to fill in. A nice night out though and discovered a nice bar at Fad Gallery.

great

MICF Show #10 - Well what can I say... Cool venue with comfy couches. The anthropology of 'Over 28s' dance moves was a spectacle. Also, the best show about cats (so far).

Kakeand2

An interesting show. We found the first half quite funny but then the comedy got extremely crass and it was just uncomfortable. There was a noteable change in the whole small audience and you could feel Nadine trying to get it back on track sadly she couldn't.

content needs improvement

Lacking subtlety and originality. Not especially funny or entertaining.

cicek

It wasn't the best stand up, but at least i got to see it.

rodz

It would be rude to walk out, but less painful. Terrible material.
