Gerard McGowan brings his hour of stand up comedy to the The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, fresh from his nomination for the comedy award in Perth Fringe 2018. Twice Raw Comedy State Finalist (2013, 2015) and part of both the Sydney & Brisbane Comedy festival Breakout showcases (2015). He has been featured on 2day FM, Triple J, ABC and Comedy Central (2017).

What a experience this was, I felt it was very personal in such a small room & audience. Enjoyed Gerard's show, he was funny & engaging.

Funny, clever show from an experienced performer. He was a bit uncomfortable with the small audience on my night which detracted somewhat, but clearly a talented comic and well worth seeing.
Gerard lays everything down and keeps the audience loving his quiet style while he tells of the frustrations of being fairly smart in a dumb world. His work anecdotes are hilarious as are his tales of woe with not-very-nice women. His delivery and soft young cheeks are excellent.
This man is very clever in his comedy and I highly recommend seeing him live.
