WINCHESTER
Inspired by true events, WINCHESTER follows firearm heiress Sarah Winchester (Academy Award® winner Helen Mirren) who was convinced that she was haunted by the souls killed at the hands of the Winchester repeating rifle. After the sudden deaths of her husband and child, she threw herself into the 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week construction of an enormous mansion designed to keep the evil spirits at bay. But when skeptical psychiatrist Eric Price (Jason Clarke) is dispatched to the estate to evaluate her state of mind, he discovers that her obsession may not be so insane after all.

Generally I dislike Horror movies but thought I'd give it a go and it certainly didn't disappoint.

Not great at all. We're horror buffs but this was not scary and the story made no sense.

Helen Mirren made this movie - something different for her
Helen Mirren is as usual outstandingly excellent expressing and conveying a vivid portrait of Mrs Winchester. Also the movie comes at a very relevant time and it is never an irrelevant time in the USA to consider the enormous preventable tragedies that result from the use of gun power.
quite an interesting film. Very different concept. Helen Mirren is such a great actress.
Longish movie but good, held your interest to the end
