Based on the surprisingly relevant, classic comedy by Carlo Goldoni, Jack of Two Trades is a brand new, fast paced, laugh out loud musical comedy full of soaring melodies, mistaken identities, disguises, trickery, declarations of love, and everyone’s favourite F-words: Fighting, farting, fornicating, foolishness, a whole lot of food… and even some feelings. Awww!
This production is the first year of the Jeanne Pratt Artists in Residence Program at the Monash Centre for Theatre and Performance. This new Australian musical work has been created by Lucy O’Brien (composer), Andrew Strano (book writer and lyricist), and features a cast of student and professional performers directed by Nathan Gilkes.
The cast includes some of Melbourne’s best known singer actors including Jane Clifton, Eddie Muliauaseali’i, Karlis Zaid, Laura Burzacott and Kayla Hamill.
Along with a 9 piece band directed by Dominic Woodhead, Jack of Two Trades is your chance to see an exciting brand new work-in-progress.
Content warning– this production contains frequent coarse language and adult concepts.
