LION
Five year old Saroo gets lost on a train which takes him thousands of Kilometers across India, away from home and family. Saroo must learn to survive alone in Kolkata, before ultimately being adopted by an Australian couple. Twenty five years later, armed with only a handful of memories, his unwavering determination, and a revolutionary technology known as Google Earth, he sets out to find his lost family and finally return to his first home.

Started well ...& good finish but story slow moving & left me wanting more details.

Take tissues
An inspirational film with excellent acting. Compelling viewing and heartbreaking in parts.
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie (and used up all available tissues in my handbag!). My teenage sons were also very moved by the film and we all thought Dev Patel and Sunny Pawar did a fantastic job of portraying Saroo. I came away feeling inspired by Saroo's resilience, courage and persistence!
The film was a little slow in parts but overall an excellent film. The young boy that played Saroo did an amazing job and I really enjoyed watching Dev Patel play Saroo as an adult complete with a fairly ecent Australian accent. Im looking forward to seeing Dev in his next film Mumbai Hotel which was filmed here in Adelaide.
