The St. Petersburg production was outstanding. The principal dancers were mesmerising & all the cast ensured a spectacular performance This was an afternoon session & had that family vibe with all the kiddies aboard all excited with anticipation to enjoy this Christmas ballet special. This is one of those concerts you need to check off your 'list of things to see'. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. The only drawback I can say, was that there was no live orchestra accompanying this production, which would have taken this concert to another level.
The Nutcracker was absolutely amazing. It was a great stage and a lovely ballet. They were absolutely beautiful. It was so nice to see people bringing their children. The venue the upper levels was a little steep for older people to navigate and get past people.
This was a very enjoyable experience - the cast worked hard and kept the audience spell-bound.
Some of the items were interpreted in a novel way, which did not diminish their beauty.
It was a day-time performance, with lots of children in the audience, but the thunder of the applause was self-explanatory. Well done!
