Bindle Brothers presents The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)
Experience all the beauty and wonder of Shakespeare’s anthology - without the boring bits! See all thirty-seven of the Bard’s plays performed by three destitute actors in this racy, fast paced, fun-filled show, ranging from Titus Andronicus’ cooking show, to a not-so-kosher rendition of the star crossed lovers.
The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) premièred in 1987 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and later had a nine year season at the Criterion Theatre in London’s West End. Writers Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield condensed all one thousand one hundred and twenty-two roles that Shakespeare wrote in his thirty-seven plays, into one evening at the theatre with three actors.
If Shakespeare scares you, then this certainly won’t! Loosen your cod-pieces and put away your dusty textbooks because schools out - see the Bard’s work told through sports games, hip hop, and the occasional sock puppet!
The totally mindless magical mayhem of Bindle Brothers' production of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) will be directed by the masterful touch of John Saunders, who has previously directed the show many times since the beginning of this millennium to much critical acclaim and side-splitting laughter.
