The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)

Bindle Brothers presents The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)

Experience all the beauty and wonder of Shakespeare’s anthology - without the boring bits! See all thirty-seven of the Bard’s plays performed by three destitute actors in this racy, fast paced, fun-filled show, ranging from Titus Andronicus’ cooking show, to a not-so-kosher rendition of the star crossed lovers.

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) premièred in 1987 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and later had a nine year season at the Criterion Theatre in London’s West End. Writers Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield condensed all one thousand one hundred and twenty-two roles that Shakespeare wrote in his thirty-seven plays, into one evening at the theatre with three actors.

If Shakespeare scares you, then this certainly won’t! Loosen your cod-pieces and put away your dusty textbooks because schools out - see the Bard’s work told through sports games, hip hop, and the occasional sock puppet!

The totally mindless magical mayhem of Bindle Brothers' production of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) will be directed by the masterful touch of John Saunders, who has previously directed the show many times since the beginning of this millennium to much critical acclaim and side-splitting laughter.

If there's one show you NEED to see this year - this is it!

Prepare to be writhing in stitches as the BRILLIANT Bindle Brothers take you on an irreverent, rollicking, wacky and absolutely hilarious ride through the works of William Shakespeare.

They bring the great bard's work to life and then wrap it with side splitting comedic brilliance that has the audience begging for more.

I just wish I had seen the Bindle Brothers stunning performance before I started studying Shakespeare at high school.

They bring the Bard to life in ways that inspire and spark the imagination, while leaving audiences laughing loudly all the way!

Congratulations guys!

Fantastic show! :-)

Very funny. Maybe some editing in the first half but the second half was clever, funny and generated great audience participation. These guys obviously know their Shakespeare which could be drummed up a little more as most of the audience were followers. Very short but I loved the Macbeth with the ridiculous accents. Great night.

These 3 actors are extremely talented, incredibly comical & expressive & left me screaming with laughter and rolling in the aisles for the entire show! A very cleverly scripted, fast moving piece of work that covers Shakespeare's offerings as time whizzes past. Thoroughly enjoyable night out, total audience engagement (and participation), very funny to watch and they build to an amazing finale at the end of this romp - loved it!

The performance was very entertaining and the actors had a lot of energy. They were very good at engaging the audience and had us laughing for most of the show.
