Demon

Condensing two life stories, one well known and one unknown, into this shows timespan was a difficult challenge well met by the writers. It moves along at a fair rate but never loses or confuses the audience.
Andrew Doyle had the ability to carry his character Leigh from youth to adulthood with ease. An impressive performance. Harlene Hercules gives a solid performance in support as Leigh's mother. Only criticism I have is of Frank Kerr's rendition of classic songs that are naturally intimately known and loved by the audience. When performing solo numbers I felt too often he was vocally over reaching and missing the mark. You can't afford to not nail iconic Thorpie classics. This was the only reason to lower my rating and I sincerely hope it was a one off performance.
