Her husband, aristocratic actor St. Clair Bayfield (Hugh Grant), had protected his beloved from the truth for years. But when Florence decided to give a public concert at Carnegie Hall in 1944, St. Clair knew it was only a matter of time before her beautiful dream would be shattered.

Great movie..
An easy movie to watch and enjoy, with some wonderful comic moments and excellent cameo perfomrances. However neither Hugh Grant nor Meryl STreep transform themselves to become someone else, and St Clair is protrayed more glamorously and kindly than the con artist living off someones delusions and misfortune that he was.
Haven't laughed out loud so much in years. Always enjoy something based in truth.
Sumptuous performance by Steep. Laughed and thought about a sad situation, presented in a humorous way.
