From the monent Georgie Girl opened to the final rapturous standing ovation ... We were privileged to be taken on a magical musical carpet ride in tribute to the incredible Australian supergroup - The Seekers.

Warm, hilarious, vibrant, dynamic and wrapped in a fantastic script and choreography - we felt a part of the amazing journey that shot The Seekers to international stardom.

The music ... The songs ... enveloped us all - as we sang along to Seekers tunes that are now part of our DNA.

How can anyone top the amazing melodies, harmonies and vocal perfection of The Seekers? The cast and crew of Georgie Girl - to a note - have created the most incredible tribute to this legendary Australian group.

If you see one musical this year make sure you don't miss Georgie Girl! ;-).

The Seekers were very big in my household and the whole family could have sung along to the "Carnival is Over" "Georgy Girl" Morningtown Ride" and a host of other songs. For no other reason than a trip down memory lane I would have enjoyed this.
I loved it for its slick and seamless performance. As well as the cast of singers and dancers on stage, there's a room full of musicians underneath who add warmth and depth to the sound.

The State theatre staff, ushers and the like, went out of there way to make it a pleasant friendly experience.
My daughter only recognised "It's not unusual" out the songs (not even a Seekers song). But came away with "Georgy Girl"singing in her head. So it's great that a new generation can enjoy the music. And who doesn't love a double bass on stage!
