99 Schnitzels (Veal Ain't One) at Adelaide Fringe

After sell-out seasons at the 2015 Melbourne comedy and Melbourne fringe festivals, Joshua Glanc brings his critically acclaimed cult hit to Adelaide.

Glanc's unique brand of melding sketch with physical and musical comedy is exhilarating. He has been labelled as one of the “up-and-comers worth a watch” (Herald Sun) and his show, one of the "top shows" at Melbourne Fringe (Herald Sun).

Don't miss out on seeing this “emerging talent” (The Age).

"Surreal, frenetic, peculiar... indisputably energising"
★★★★ - Herald Sun

"cleverly concocted... Glanc is certainly one to watch"
★★★★ - The Music

"I had to stop myself from smiling because my jaw hurt from laughing so much" - The Plus Ones

"a virtuoso comedic talent who combines high-wired silliness with subversive social observation and pathos. 99 Schnitzels filters his surreal and singular comedic universe through character, sketches and song" - The New Daily

Suitable for audiences over 16 years of age

Unfortunately, the heat and humidity in the venue on Friday night affects my review of this show. It was so hot, it was absolutely unbearable. One fan in a venue that's on top of a restaurant, and in scorching summer temperatures, just leads me to conclude that the audience wasn't considered a high priority. I understand there are limitations regarding venues in fringe events and am open to that experience given it is the fringe after all, but Mr Glanc should be pleased that nobody passed out during his performance. I can only imagine those who stayed didn't want to waste their money but I can honestly say that I could not have stayed any longer whether the tickets were complementary or not.

I watched the show for as long as possible out of a sense of duty to 'On the House', however, I left about twenty minutes before it finished due to the unbearable conditions. Overall, we got some laughs from the first few sketches, however, the realisation that the same person plucked from the audience for a couple of the sketches was either a 'plant' or a rather confident, obnoxious individual negatively impacts my assessment of some of the other sketches. "Different strokes for different folks.."

Funny and clever, crazy short sketches, surreal. Loved this show!!
