Guy Pearce & Darren Middleton “Broken/Translations” tour

Having garnered critical and audience praise for their 'Broken / Translations' tour on the east coast earlier this year, renowned actor/musician Guy Pearce and Powderfinger’s Darren Middleton will at last make their way to Western Australia with their band, The Octobers, performing at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre on Saturday, October 17.

The two Aussie legends, caused somewhat of a stir earlier this year with the surprise announcement that they would be joining forces on a live tour to promote their respective solo albums, each entering their own new career phase and hitting the road for first time together.

Best known for his stellar film career, Guy had just launched his music career with the album, “Broken Bones”.

Former Powderfinger guitarist and songwriter extraordinaire, Darren Middleton had garnered acclaim for his solo album, “Translations”, playing on his melodic strength and taking fans on an intricate journey.

Says Guy, “Touring with Darren and The Octobers has been fantastic. It’s been so nice to have the chance to play some of these songs live.

“We had a great response in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia and we’re really looking forward to playing in WA.”

In the Broken / Translations tour, Guy and Darren share the stage, backing each other and enjoying onstage banter which demonstrates the personal bond that has developed through their creative union.

WA audiences will have the added bonus of new material from each artist thrown in. There will be one or two songs performed from Darren's forthcoming new album, "Splinters" (out in November) and Guy is currently writing and recording his second album, which he is keen to road test.
