A distinguished alumnus of Monash University, Leslie Howard has an outstanding reputation as soloist, composer and writer. He has performed internationally with many of the world’s finest orchestras, and has appeared as soloist with renowned conductors including Claudio Abbado, James Judd, Hiroyuki Iwaki and Sir Charles Mackerras. His performances of chamber music and lieder include collaborations with some of the greatest artists of our time. Considered to be one of the world’s expert authorities on the works of Franz Liszt, Leslie’s discography includes almost one hundred CD recordings of his works, as well as many other important world premiere recordings.
This recital will see him perform some rare gems of the Romantic piano repertoire, including the sonatas of Sibelius and Glazuov, along with works by Liszt.
