Preview screening of brand new web series, FOOTBALLER WANTS A WIFE. Join a swag of local celebrities at the sneak preview of this hilarious six-part web series, a brilliantly funny parody of reality TV dating shows which gives football stereotypes a warmhearted send-up. The brainchild of former Neighbours star and Logie Award nominee Ben Nicholas, he is part of the all-star cast that includes Brooke Satchwell (Wonderland), Cassandra Magrath (Wolf Creek), Elise Jansen (Wonderland), Jiordan Tolly (Neighbours) and many more.
Footballer Wants A Wife is a spoof reality show that follows three professional sportsmen on their modern day journey to love and plays on the one ironic truth at the heart of reality TV: it’s completely fabricated - particularly when it comes to ‘love, loss and celebrity’.
The series will premiere on YouTube the following day, and this is the only chance to see it on the magnificent big screen of the Astor Theatre.
Red carpet arrivals at 6.30pm, screening commences at 7.30pm, mingle with the celebs when the screening concludes at 9pm.
