Blood Sweat & Tears (USA)

Blood Sweat & Tears (USA)

It’s been more than four decades since drummer/producer Bobby Colomby and friends assembled the first group to successfully blend rock and jazz into a genre-crossing sound and style. So successfully, in fact, that the band’s second album, Blood, Sweat & Tears, topped the Billboard charts, beat out the Beatles’ Abbey Road for Grammy Album of the Year, and produced three major hit singles.

Now, the iconic American band are coming to Australia for a national tour.

Get ready to hear the soundtrack of the 60s/70s with huge hits like Spinning Wheel, You Made Me So Very Happy, And When I Die, I Love You More than You’ll Ever Know, Lucretia MacEvil and more.

What a fabulous evening at Her Majesty's Theatre in Adelaide! The band were a very tight, talented group of musicians. I was disappointed that they didn't do "Lucretia MacEvil" and that support act, I almost walked out! Good thing that BS&T did their job so well.

Good venue. We foolishly took our car and parked about 1 kilometre away. Bo the lead singer was very professional. The band were tight and completely in control the whole night.

We had such a fantastic night!!! Such incredibly talented musos!!! THANK YOU so much On the House for the Blood Sweat & Tears cheap tickets....it was a brilliant show!! Great lead singer, Bo Bice, who was such a great showman and quick off the mark, he made us laugh and had the audience in the palm of his hands...not too mention his incredibly amazing singing voice WOW!! The Kiwi drummer was a freak! Lead guitar, bass guitar, the haunting keyboards, the flute, the trumpets, the trombone and all the great songs of the past and a couple of others thrown in....we loved it all!!!

The brass had arrived! In case the evening audience at the Perth Regal Theatre needed awakening, the opening tune was bold, brassy and dynamic! We were now all ready for a night of 'Blood Sweat & Tears.'

Bo Bice, the lead singer, a former runner-up singer in an American Idol Competition, engaged us with his powerful, strong voice with such clarity of diction that every word could be heard from the back of the theatre. With his ease of singing and a flexible voice range, he delivered a high-powered, energetic rendition of tunes that we had come to love from a band which had its origin in 1967.

Each talented member of this band showcased his individual, musical talents with a captivating solo. Each was notable and well applauded, but it was the delight in the drummer's dexterity that overwhelmingly excited the spirited audience. His drum sticks flew in every direction with mastery and playfulness!

Revisiting their memorable, popular songs was acknowledged with much appreciative clapping. 'Blood, Sweat & Tears' gave us the audience a dynamic, musical night and "Yes you made me so very happy!"
Thank you.
