MAPA and Tasmania’s leading modern dance company, Tasdance are delighted to present the sensational double-bill Luminous Flux in Melbourne this May.
Investigating multiple interpretations of light, Luminous Flux blends striking and innovative modern dance with theatre, bringing together the works of two of Australia’s shining examples of contemporary dance, Tanja Liedtke and Byron Perry.
An extraordinary talent whose life was tragically cut-short in 2007, Liedtke choreographed Enter Twilight for Tasdance in 2004 to examine the balance between opposites: light and dark, virtuous and evil. Tasdance presented Luminous Flux at Ten Days on the Island in 2013 to honour Liedtke’s ongoing positive influence on dance in Australia.
