Recipient of 5 Green Room Award Nominations (2014)

“Red Stitch has mounted a superlative production… in which every aspect of theatre craft converges with compelling focus.” - The Age ★★★★

She’s an F16 fighter pilot; a rock star of the great big blue above. She loves the sky. And suddenly she is pregnant. Now: re-purposed as a drone pilot, hunting the enemy by day, living in Las Vegas by night.

Maybe it’s safer this way; maybe it’s better? She can come home to her husband and child.

From the heights of lyricism to the shallows of workday existence, Grounded is a visceral, gripping story that flies through one woman’s internal war and her external battle.

April 15 - 19 at Alex Theatre St Kilda (135 Fitzory St)

PERFORMANCE TIMES:
Wednesday - Friday, 8pm
Saturday, 2pm & 8pm

Excellent performance somewhat marred by the overriding American triumphalism.

A most unusual, interesting and well written story, brilliantly delivered by Kate Cole who captured the audience's attention from start to finish.

Good play, actress is very good

innerverse

This was the best play I have seen in a decade. The writing was precise, forceful and poignant. It approached identity, political questions of war and power in relationships with great skill and brevity. Minimal both in its presentation and its means. The actress was incredible, had all the skills to give this great play justice. It really deserves great accolades.

A must see show.

Amazing. How one person can captivate you from start to finish and take you on a journey with them, is a credit to the brilliant performance by Kate Cole. Well worth seeing.

JKieran

Excellent performance. Ms Cole gave such a range of emotions in this production.

Hello

Hugely powerful acting performance, gripping the audience from start to finish.

Very impressed with the way the actor took us along on a journey from happiness to a full on PTSD episode via warm family tales and the tedium of work. I can still see the desert/s and the pyramids. I loved the soundtrack as well. Simply staged but complexly told.

ZoomZoom

Mesmerizing story telling that held the audience spellbound for the entire duration. The sound, lighting and set design deserve a mention too, even though you don't realize it at the time.
