Darkness and Light

Darkness and Light

Fall down seven times, stand up eight – and tell a joke about it!

Comedy gets real as the cream of the festival’s funny people share some very personal postcards from the edge, in a show that will make you laugh and cry – but mostly laugh!

A combination of hilarious stand-up and stunning story telling, each night is a different collection of stories about being human, and includes some of the funniest tales about lost love, growing up, coming out, mental illness, and just really, really bad days that you’ll ever hear.

Featuring a different line-up each night, including: Cath Styles, Jon Bennett, Sara Pascoe, Greg Fleet, Helen Duff, Damian Callinan, Rhys Nicholson, The Wizard Sandwiches, Diana Ngyuen, Nath Valvo, Dave Bloustien, Urzila Carlson, Sarah Bennetto, Tessa Waters, Chris Franklin, and many more!

The choir was great, the performers anecdotes shied away from personal stories which was disappointing as they all hinted at
various trials.

Loved the concept, would have been better if the the artists had a few stories prepared and then picked one suitable for the audience.

sand

Extremely entertaining and great to have a mixture of comedians up on stage.

Elvis: To be so close to 4 skilled comedians was a treat. All very original...the gay guy was the highlight, but all very clever.
