Coco de Mer: Sounds of the Seychelles

Coco de Mer: Sounds of the Seychelles

Freshly arrived from her an Indian tour, Seychelles-born, Perth based Grace Barbe is visiting Melbourne!

Especially for the 2015 Brunswick Music Festival, The Boite restage their massive 2013 performance of Coco De Mer, a Creole Carnival with Seychellois melodies of the Indian Ocean.

Coco De Mer ventures to the tropical archipelago of the Seychelle islands, home to funky, rhythmic island beats and passionate dancing.

Learn about these unique islands, Seychellois creole culture and delight in performances from the Seychellois diaspora here in Australia. Performers include Grace Barbé (WA) and The Boite's Mini Millennium Choir singing en-masse in Seychellois creole lead by respected choir director Stella Savy.
