As relationships between young women and men are impacted more than ever before by the expanding world of the internet, six "Gen-Y" characters battle with evolving ideas of relationships and sexuality.
Are we becoming desensitised?
Are we just bodies?
Are we safe?
The real question is: Can we handle it?
“Handle It – A One Woman Play” is the creative product of emerging writer and performer Laura Jackson, and centres on the story of Kelsey Armitage, an eighteen year old university student who experiences first hand the effects of social media on the lives of Generation Y women. Six characters surrounding Kelsey help to unravel the details of her story and, in the process, examine the sexual health of Generation Y.
Expect some laughs, some shivers, and to walk away thinking.
