LINK Dance Company, WAAPA's pre-professional dance company - the only one of its kind in Australia - was created to give dancers the opportunity to make a smooth transition from student to professional life and is structured exactly like a professional company with 2 seasons annually as well as an Australian and European tour, from which they have just returned.

New works are created for the company by highly regarded local and interstate choreographers giving young dancers the skills to make valuable contributions to choreographic processes and become seasoned and compelling performers.

Some interesting performances. Not 100% sure on what was happening a few of them though.

I thought there was far too much standing still - Rather than dancing. Lots of smoke machine with no dancing but just a figure standing still for two tracks in the first act in such a small room just left me coughing. Very loud and not much happened. We left after the first act. My friend and I both like dance, yet neither of us thought it was our style.

brilliant choreography .. outstanding artists all of them - so much stamina for very difficult moves & still glances - good choice of small theatre - 1st time visitor definitely be back for more .... simply sensational!!

Was a great performance, thanks OTH for listing something that I would not have normally known about to visit. My partner loves dance, so it was a treat for him, but I was surprised to have loved it so much myself. Talented, dedicated performers, great works, excellent choreography. The stories were all captivating.

Dancers were good, didn't really get it though. Interesting night out.
