A truly amazing film
Hilarious, as expected.
A gem of a film. Delightful characters and a real insight into the events surrounding the rule of Margaret Thatcher.
Had me in tears twice, thought provoking, funny as well as poignant, lots of sub-stories, deep admiration for the people who lived this and thankful they survived. Wonderful film, recommending it highly to all I know.

Such a wonderful piece of history, and although I am English and was 14 at the time, was not aware of the solidarity between these two groups. As described the movie certainly did not let us down and was certainly uplifting in every way! The characters. I thought had been well chosen and were brilliantly played. Big congatulations to all involved! Thank you also to On the House for making this event possible.

I knew it was a good movie when I felt the audience respond. I felt toes tapping to the 80's music, giggles and belly laughs escaping, and tears rolling down faces, at poignant moments. Based on a true story, the themes in this movie are relevant today, standing up for your rights, as workers and people, standing tall, being united with a sense of pride, to overcome prejudice and unfairness.
A funny an endearing portrayal of life in the 80's: individuals vs unions, long term strikes, small political activist groups, the token lesbian, fear of difference, the impact of AIDS, and lots more. An amazing true story about the strength of people coming together, overcoming fear and supporting each other, and told in an easy-to-digest way. Inspiring stuff.
